“Superpixel Tracking” Was Accepted to ICCV 2011 and Won ICCV 2011 Most Remembered Poster

Recently, good news came from the international computer vision Conference (iccv) in 2011. Wang Shu, a 2009 Master's degree student under the guidance of Associate Professor Lu Huchuan of the school of information and communication engineering of our university, was admitted to the paper "superpixel tracking". The main research content of the paper is the target tracking algorithm in the field of machine vision.

Computer vision is a new subject that uses computer to simulate the ability of human visual mechanism to obtain and process information. It is a challenging and important research field in the field of engineering and science. Iccv is the top international conference in the field of computer vision. It has a large number of contributions, and the competition is very fierce. The admission rate is only about 20%. This year, 1750 contributions were submitted and 340 were hired. It is rare that the achievements of master's degree students can be admitted to this conference. The conference is held every two years and is held in five continents in turn.

In addition, four papers directed by associate professor luhuchuan were admitted to the 2011 international image processing conference ICIP, which is one of the top international conferences in the field of image processing. Among them, Dr. Lishifeng's "pose estimation and body segmentation based on hierarchical searching tree" and MS. xieyulin's "visual saliency detection based on Bayesian model" were recorded as oral presentation; Dr. Wang Dong's "incremental orthogonal projective non negative matrix factorization and Its Applications" and Master Wang Shu's "comprehensive visual tracking" were recorded as the poster presentation.
